Wilderness Preservation Association

The Wilderness Preservation Association strives to be a resource for local law enforcement and the Forestry Department to observe and report fire hazards, dangerous road conditions, and illegal activity to ensure our forests remain clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.

Something You Should Know About The Wilderness Preservation Association.

We are not an enforcement group. We observe and report what we see through the proper channels to help keep our nation’s forests beautiful, safe, and accessible for all to enjoy for years to come.

Who We Are

We are an Oregon based 501(C3) Non-Profit that monitors our wilderness areas to observe and report through social media and our website, fire dangers, road hazards, illegal dumping, vandalism, poaching, suspicious activity, or other matters needing Law Enforcement or Forestry Department attention.

In addition, we act as a volunteer resource to be available to participate in community activities that support our common goal of preserving our nation’s wilderness.

Outreach

Homelessness and Addiction are a rapidly growing problem in our country. Given that there isn’t currently a solution, one of the places that people suffering from these problems go to is the public forests. Being these areas are for public use, sometimes these campers may need a welfare check from law enforcement, or these camps are left littered with trash. Part of our goal is to be sure these reported areas have postings for Homelessness and Addiction resources for anyone wanting assistance.
